Our Seafood Is 100% Tariff Free!
There has been a lot of tariff talk lately, causing concern about the price of everyday items imported from overseas. We are happy to report that our seafood is harvested, processed, and shipped entirely within the United States and our prices remain unaffected by current events related to international trade policy.
That is not necessarily the case for all Alaskan seafood. A majority of Alaskan salmon and pollock are headed, gutted, frozen, and shipped to China for final processing before being imported back to the United States and distributed to grocery chains across the nation.
When you buy wild-caught Alaskan salmon from any grocery store there's a good chance that it was processed in China and frozen at least twice (initially in Alaska and again in China after final processing). This is one reason many people are so turned off by grocery store salmon: even when it's wild-caught, it often just isn't fresh.
All of our seafood, whether it's salmon, cod, halibut, prawns, scallops, or crab, is sustainably harvested and fully traceable. We know where our seafood comes from, who caught it, how it's handled, and the chain of commerce that gets it from the ocean to your table.
It's no secret that our seafood is generally more expensive than what you'd find at Costco or any other chain grocery store. We can't compete with their prices, but we'll run circles around them in terms of quality every day.
It's no exaggeration to say that if you're not getting your Alaskan seafood from us, and you're not catching it yourself, you're not getting the highest quality Alaskan seafood available. Quality is an area where the big guys will never be able to compete with us. And while their prices may increase quickly due to trade policy, ours will not!
Be sure to visit our online store to get get your premium, wild, hook-and-line caught Alaskan seafood, shipped anywhere in the continental United States.
